Location: Lapeer, Michigan
Scope of Work: Design, Equipment Procurement and Installation, Furniture
Date of Completion: December 2025
Project Highlights: Removed the existing serving counter and designed and installed a new custom Vollrath unit equipped with waterless hot wells, cold wells, sneeze guards, and storage, as well as a built-in SerVue salad station—the first installation of its kind.
Key Partners: Vollrath
Lapeer County Medical Care Community partnered with Boelter to transform their staff dining area into a more inviting and functional space, one that promotes wellness, efficiency, and flexibility for all shifts. Their vision was to create an aesthetically pleasing environment offering a variety of high-end, healthy menu options, including a fresh salad station. To better support third-shift employees, Boelter helped the community introduce new grab-and-go meal cases, complete with a POS system that integrates with employee badges, eliminating the need for culinary staff oversight.
To bring this vision to life, Boelter conducted precise field measurements and developed comprehensive Revit drawings to ensure seamless fit and function for both the new serving counter and the additional grab-and-go section.

One of the most striking features of the finished space is the SerVue station, built directly into the counter, which immediately greets staff with fresh, healthy options. Behind the scenes, the dry hot wells deliver operational benefits by eliminating messy drainage requirements and improving safety through reduced water handling.
The result is a modern, efficient, and wellness-focused foodservice space that enhances employee satisfaction and supports the community’s long-term operational goals.
